Hawaiian Kookoolau (Ko'oko'olau) Tea

Ko'oko'olau Hawaiian herbal tea is a delicious refreshihg tea known by ancient Hawaiians to promote good health, cleanse the body, prevent strokes, diabetes, constipation, and revive the appetite. It was also used to help people with stomach problems, colon and bowel problems, and those with liver problems. Ko'oko'olau is enjoyed both hot and as a refreshing iced tea. Suggested use is to drink for 5 days and take 2 days off drinking up to 3 cups a day. (Crushed leaf with added lemon grass 'lukini')

| Brewing Instructions

| Boil 3 cups of water in non-aluminum tea pot. Add approximately 1 tablespoon of crushed leaves to boiling water. Remove from heat, cover and let steep for 10 to 15 minutes. Reheat if needed. To increase strength, taste and color, let steep longer if desired. Yield: 4 - 6 cups of hot tea. Drink 3 cups a day for 5 days. Drink to good taste.
